Neuromuscular Remedial Massage Therapist specialising in Pain Management Therapy practicing Functional Neuromyofascial Technique (FNFT) and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) using the highly specialised Vodder Technique
Dedicated to your health and well being Capri is a down to earth,
naturally caring person, who has a true passion for supporting others
in becoming pain-free, healthy, and functional.
With a background in Nursing and Industrial Law, including
workers' compensation and employment advocacy, she has
been working with people facing difficult situations for over 20 years.
After experiencing her own health crisis in 2014 she completed
a diploma in Remedial Massage and began exploring complementary
medicine to achieve optimal health, gaining knowledge and experience
of how the body works and the best ways to support difficult
and /or chronic symptoms/conditions.
Capri went on to specialise in neuromuscular pain management, learning
Neuromyofascial Techniques (FNFT) from Timothy King from King Myotherapy Geelong.
The additional qualification of MLD - the Vodder technique, was through Q Academy in Brisbane.
She has recently completed her studies in Reiki 1&2 and has added energy healing to compliment her clients holistic care and wellbeing. She is currently studying a diploma in Mediation and Mindfulness to be used with Reiki and home healing for her clients.
Capri shares her knowledge and education with fellow therapists at Bly's Massage Meetups in Brisbane once a month. Leading the meetings and presenting to a range of therapists attending for Continual Professional Development.
Capri has established relationships with General Practitioners and Allied Health Practitioners within the Brisbane area, taking referrals when required, and working closely with them on individual cases.
She believes a multi-faceted approach between health practitioners is necessary when dealing with symptoms and illness and her approach to her clients is via holistic health promotion and using both traditional and complementary medicine.
Capri has professional membership with the Association of Massage Therapists (AMT) and has preferred Health Fund provider status with all Australian Health Funds.
